Welcome to House Steiner!

Ranks in the LCAF

Junior and Senior Officer ranks very greatly by position. The biggest factor in the determination of what rank a commander can hold is the size of the unit with further consideration also given to time in service of that commander.

SENIOR OFFICERS

Promotions for all Senior officer ranks are based on time in service and time in grade. Any officer trying to attain the position of Command would have to attend a board. The board is made up of The Co-ordinator, 'House Leader or House XO and one Equal or greater ranking officer. The board will consist of at least 10 questions per officer sitting on the board and will be done in an oral examination. The questions will be taken from the House policy, unit policy, and House information documents. A score of 80% or above is required to pass the board. To attain any Senior Officer assignment completion of the Officers Advanced Course is required PRIOR to consideration for promotion. Non command positions can be promoted by the immediate commander for that position but they have to be approved by the next higher level commander above him or her in their chain of command.

Once a Warrior has served the required TOS (Time Of Service) they Have the chance to be promoted. Just serving time does not get you promoted, instead once you have served your TOS you can 'out in a "Promotional Consent" to your CO and they have the choice of promoting you. They will most likely promote you unless their is no reason or "Slot" for your promoting rank in which case you will remain your current rank for some more time.

Any Personnel under the rank of Baron (not including Baron) must Salute -S- all personnel above his/her rank! CO, A and Baron must Bow -B- to all personnel above his/her rank! All personnel of the same rank may call them by their name, all personnel above or below must be addressed as their rank unless otherwise stated by them.

On the MSNGaming Zone there are a few people you may run into with their names similar to ours. On this site and the Mechreg League site you address people by Rank. Name/LCAF-Unit. Eg, WL. Maniac/LCAF-1stRLG. On the Zone your name will be Rank_Name_LACF. Eg, WL_Maniac_LCAF. Some people have their name as LCAF_Name. These people are not with us at all! they belong to another League such as StarLance. It is sometime hard to tell the difference but you will get it.

Promotions - All promotions have been given basic minimum requirements. Any Theater or direct Commander can waive ONE minimum time in grade, time in service, or battle requirement but not any more than one. The Co-Ordinator, Archon, or Baron can waive any or all requirements. Time in service is counted as time on active duty which does not include retirement or reserves. Those of you with members under your Command, watch/document there Time Of Service. Also the individual must do the same to keep track of them selves. Once you or the individual reaches required amount of time to get promoted. Please inform the person/s responsible for your promotion. They too will be keeping an eye on you.
