Welcome to House Steiner!

Chain of Command

The most important point that can be stressed when discussing the command structure of our house is the expectation of every warrior to follow their chain of command (COC). Below, you will find the command structure of our house outlined. Use this command tree to assess your place within the rank structure and use this knowledge to follow the COC. Chain of command means that any and all questions/comments/complaints you have should be directed to your immediate superior (CO and/or XO). Please do NOT send questions to higher-ranking personnel, unless you have urgent information or you are having problems with your immediate CO. In such cases, feel free to contact your regimental or battalion COs. Use the following command structure to find out who your CO would be, but as you are probably a new recruit reading this, your CO would be your Lance Commander. As you move up in rank, though, your immediate CO will change.

*NOTE!: Failure to adequately follow the COC will be looked upon very unfavorably. We want all warriors to be very informed, but your CO/XO should be more than sufficient to answer almost any question you come up with.

Minister

(The position of minister is pending the determination by the development team of the feasibility of implementation.)

The ministers are three positions with no pre-defined responsibilities separate from any House unit. The House Leader and/or XO can, at any time, change the functions of the ministers to more effectively help run the House. These functions can include any, none, or all command functions up to and including the abilities of the House XO.

The intent is to make the minister position as useful as the individual House Leader desires and to provide a means of delegating House strategic activities in an alternate and re-configurable fashion. The smart House Leader will use these positions to great effect during wartime.

Although these positions are answerable to the House Leader and XO only, they preserve the sense of individuality and hierarchy when used as enhancements or aids to the Front COs and the House leadership during times of war.

Configurable function categories include:

command level (individually determined from Theater CO to House XO; this determines which set of functions are available and to which levels of command the individual minister is subordinate - under no circumstances can a minister alter the command level of him- or herself or those of another minister)
command level function configuration (within a level of command, functions can be toggled on and off)
